UK Quilt Squares-UT Quilt Squares-Goose Baby Quilt-Harley Davidson Quilt Squares

Here are some squares that she is working on right now.The UK squares are being made for her niece's baby boy (named Caleb-you'll see his name, initials, birthday, etc on some of the squares). She made a gorgeous wall hanging for her baby shower gift but I didn't get any pictures of it. She is still working on some of the squares so I don't have all of them but you get an idea on how it will look. Definitely a one-of-a-kind quilt that will be that one special "lovie" that no amount of money could ever touch. Please note that some of the squares look wrinked and that is because she has just got them done and hasn't yet steam ironed them out.
Also, she has created a baby quilt for her preacher's wife that is expecting. She chose a goose holding an umbrella while walking in the rain. However, she didn't do this quilt in squares. She outlined the quilt with different numbers and letters (all of the letters are were picked from different names in the Bible). Look at the great detail in the feet & the umbrella handle. And if you've never done any chicken scratch, the rain drops, outline of umbrella handle, outline of feet, and the puddle, are very tedious. They actually look as though the thread never leaves the top of the material! This quilt just has to have the back put on, which she'll do when she gets a break from everything else-LOL. I just wanted to show you this creation because it is "SO amazingly WOW"!
And-the Tennessee Vols pattern that my husband had been working on has begun. She has 2 different patterns (I only have pics of one-but will soon have both). The first is the "T" with "UT" smaller on each side. The other is the "UT" with "VOLS" in the corner. Note-these can also be made to customization, just as she did with the UK squares in Caleb's quilt. Or they can all be the same.
Also, probably in a week or two, I'll upload some pictures of the Harley Davidson squares that are in progress right now. One pattern has already been drawn on the fabric, but not done and the other pattern is being finished. We're going back and forth on whether to use orange/white gingham or black/white gingham so that every stitch shows in great detail. Maybe we'll alternate-but I hope this one will be my birthday present or something ;oP Ok, I gotta go and try to upload the pics to this thing as it takes a while to get ALL of them in here as I don't just do one or two pics-LOL, way more than that!

Chicken Scratch Queen Size Quilt Almost Completed & Will soon be for SALE!

Ok, Guys-I promised that when all of these squares were finished that I would update the pictures. We'll she didn't stop with just doing the squares, but has actually, already completed the quilt top and will be quilting it this week to have a completely finished Queen Size Chicken Scratch quilt. She has decided to sell this quilt. I tried to take pictures of the entire quilt and couldn't-LOL. There was not enough room and I wasn't 12 feet tall. I did get one partially full picture (should be the first pic shown). Then I tried to take more pictures in sections so that you can see how they do go together. And , lastly, I took pictures of each individual square and some I tried to show some of the awesome detail on, but whether my camera picked it up, I haven't checked yet. I have also included the list of the squares on this quilt below. Most people who are interested in purchasing Chicken Scratch do not know how to quilt at all, but do want to own a beautiful family heirloom that will last for many generations. Therefore instead of just leaving these squares unfinished and selling them with the strip measurements (which would have been a LOT easier), she decided to go ahead and do ALL of the work, so the quilt is ready to go. This would be PERFECT for a Mother's Day gift or for your mother's birthday, or if you have a grown child that would appreciate a one-of-a-kind heirloom with intricate details, in what seems to be a dying art, this would be a great gift. I know I would love to receive it-but she has already made a lot of quilts for me LOL. Also I will update again, with completed pictures in a little bit. She is waiting for the fabric to come in right now or it would already be done. Hopefully, upon completion, it will be listed on ebay for sale. I will also post the item # with the completed pics!

Hello! Welcome! We have had a lot of new visitors and a lot of returning visitors lately. I would like to try to keep the site updated as much as possible, but right now the green and cream quilt squares are being worked on still. Joseph's Coat of Many Colors UPDATE!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! We wish you all a safe holiday season and wish you all the best! Ok, look at these gorgeous Christmas presents that my mamaw gave to her Sunday School teachers. She already made one of the squares (pictured in a previous post) and so she decided to make one more and give them for Christmas presents. As you can see one has lace edging and the other has tube edging. The are very close to being exact but since they are made from varigated thread, they are alike just not exact. Of course, they were a hit. I just wanted to show you guys what had been going on. Anyways, I had better run as I have to get ready for tomorrow. Below is also a pic of my girls and Santa (it was a nightmare with my 2 year old the first Santa we tried to take her to, but this time wasn't so bad, even though I had to try to let her sit in my lap the first picture-but she finally warmed up). Happy HO HO as she says!
